Tables and chairs on the patio
My friend Nevenka lives in a small town called Pakrac which is only 4 km away from Lipik where I live. She and her husband owe a popular pub "Scorpion". They use the garden patios to place the chairs and tables and all the guests are really thrilled by the atmosphere. Who would not be happy in a lovely garden? Recently, a literary evening was held in the garden where the two authors have presented their new books.
A view from the second terrace. I am making the plan for the border in front of the brick wall that we will plant in autumn.
Early in the spring this year she asked me to help her planning new borders. The garden is very nice as it is. It is divided by the low brick walls in three levels. There are many mature trees and shrubs and lots of flowers in the garden. It only needed a little bit more order in flower beds. They are not planned but planted randomly as the new plants arrived. Nena has an eye for nice details, such as this old sewing machine that serves as a flower pot stand.
Trailing Begonia on the old sewing machine.
She has also lots of pot plants that find their place on patios when the frost time is gone. A palm, Burgmansia, Clivia, Clematis, Alocasia and Oleander find their place on patios.
A part of the shade flower bed that we planted in spring. The picture was taken in May. Not bad for the first season. We planted Hostas, Dicentras, Carex, Irises, Geranium, Astilbe, ferns and lovely Brunnera 'Jack Frost'.
Clivia has flowered in March.
