I was weeding the flower beds the other day when the blackbird came twitting and jumping around me. The birds in my garden are not afraid of me at all, always following me by mowing the lawn or doing some digging. They know, there will be nice worms to pick up from the ground! But this time, he obviously wanted something else from me, making noise and flying up and down the birdbath. As he got to the birdbath again and started to make a noise again (believe me, it was not singing!) I realised - the birdbath is empty!
Immediately, as I filled it with water, taking the bath was in order. And, no need to tell you, I had to refill water after he finished his evening bath.
