Climbing Beans

Firstly, to my American friends


This picture above is taken about a month ago. 


And today, the climbing bean was ready for the first harvest. I picked up quite a lot of pods and have enough to make the vegetable stew and a salad. Personally, salad is more to my liking. I just cook the pods in a salted water, drain, and dress with some chopped garlic, vinegar an olive oil. I eat this salad cold.

  1. I'm a big fan of beans in any form. I like them cooked and cooled for use in salads like you, but I also enjoy them hot - especially as an accompaniment to roast meat.
    What variety are those big flat ones? Are they "Hunter"?
