Where is the Spring?

This winter does not give up! I cannot work in the garden because of the wet ground, rain, cold wind, snow - you name it! How frustrating!

Some spring flowers showed up, quite modestly, like this Hyacinth...

...and this heavenly blue Chionodoxa (Glory-of-the-snow).

Only the Hellebore is in full bloom now and - that's it!

  1. Spring is not here either. Cold, wet, windy, snowy - that's what our weather is like at present.
Luckily I have some Daffodils and Crocuses to brighten up my garden. Everyone is posting photos of beautiful Hellebores. I really must get one/some for next year!

    1. Please, get some Hellebores, they are really beautiful plants, and come early in a year.

  2. In Poland we still have snow lying on the ground. I still can't do anything in the garden :(

    1. Well, this is not unusual for the continental climate. I guess we are all eager to come out and work in the garden.

  3. Blogs from around the world seem to have a common theme right now. I am sitting by the fire in the den watching the snow fall as I write this, and just longing for a real spring. The blooms in your garden brightened my day, especially your hellebores. Mine have been budding, but not opening, for months it seems. P. x

    1. Yes, I sow it, snow is everywhere... The odd thing is, we had a mild winter and now... spring started with snow.

  4. Vesna, your blooms are much further along than mine. I only have the promise of Spring in swelling buds and blooms from my photo archives. Cheer up! Spring always comes.
