Mid-May Bloomers

Clematis in full bloom.

Paeonia 'Rubra Plena', an old sort of peony.

Verbena in a hanging basket enhances the terrace.

Herbs on the terrace: sage, rosemary...

    1. Yes, vivid colors of theirs are beautiful and they are good self-seeders - that's what I like.

    1. The weather and climate have such a great impact in plants. They are also about 10 day late here as well.

  3. Your garden is so full of color and life now. That peony looks fantastic, and I also really like that verbena! I've never seen a verbena of that color here - very striking.

    1. The peony are now the most prominent plants in the garden. The red ones are early but white and pink follow.

  4. What's this? Sunshine? Blue sky? We've nearly forgotten what those things are. I love the light and shade effect in the Clematis photo.

    1. Thanks, Mark. The rain came here today. Good. The garden needs good watering and I need some rest!
