Garden in May

'Abraham Darby'

Roses and peonies.

The bold Hosta 'Sun and Substance' and Polygonum polymorphum

Lonicera peryclimenum, a honeysucle

Ferns, Hostas and Lady's Mantle in a shady part of the garden. The plant with the red foliage is Lysimachia ciliata 'Firecracker' (Loose-strife).

A riot of colours.

  1. Your garden looks fantastic! How early your roses bloom there - together with the peonies. I think I might faint from so many flowers at once :-)

    1. Thanks! May is usually the month when most roses bloom. As for peonies, I have different cultivars that bloom from early spring towards summer.
