The Ornamental Cherry

My ornamental cherry 'Royal Burgundy' is a young, small tree. Still, it looks beautiful full of clusters of double pink flowers.

I bought this particular cultivar because of the red foliage. When the flowers fade, the red crown add interest among other mostly green plants.

  1. Isn't it a shame that the flowers are so short lived?

  2. My only cherry tree is an Autumn-flowering one. I have a pink-flowered Crab Apple tree which is in full flower at present, but it is currently being battered by very strong winds and heavy rain, so the blossoms won't last long.

    1. I'd like to have a crab apple. Hard to think but there is no nursery in Croatia that sells it.
