Bad Neighbours

The beetroot close to lovage is small and pale green. Obviously, these two aren't the good neighbours. Now I know.
It was raining in the morning quite a lot. I am happy because I don't have to water the garden.

The runner bean 'Firestorm' have the first flowers. With the flowers being so bright red, the name of this bean variety is well deserved.

The dwarf bean 'Amethyst' has already the first pods. It produces about 15 cm long slender pods. Pity the lovely purple colour turns into green once cooked.

The pumpkin spreads like crazy.

The cucumbers sown five days ago grow very quickly. Now I can mulch this bed as well.
