Sunday afternoon seemed perfect for a walk and I went to the river bank to pick up some sting nettles to make a liquid fertilizer. There were many ladybirds on the nettles, I wonder what do they love about it?
I also wanted to pick up comfrey but I found only one plant! I guess I need to look for it in another place.
Well, as you probably know, the smell isn't so good so, I keep the buckets near my compost pile.
I have the recipes for the concentrated nettle and comfrey fertilizers.
Nettle concentrate: 1 kg nettles on 10 L water; leave it for two weeks. To use, make a solution of 1 part fertilizer and 10 parts water.
Comfrey concentrate: 1 kg comfrey on 15 L water; leave it for two weeks. To use, make a solution of 1 part fertilizer 10 parts water.
The solution is simply used to water the plants.
